Agreement to these terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a contract between you and ReviewRav (“ReviewRav”, “we”, “us”). They govern your use of the ReviewRav WordPress plugin, our dashboard and cloud service, and our website at https://www.reviewrav.click/ (together, the “Service”).
By installing the plugin, connecting a Google account, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you use the Service for a company, you confirm that you have authority to bind it. You must be at least 18 and able to form a binding contract.
What the Service does
- Connects to your Google Business Profile, with your permission, to read business details and reviews.
- Lets you send review requests to your customers by email or text message.
- Lets you display reviews on your WordPress site with a shortcode.
- Lets you read and reply to reviews from the dashboard.
Features may differ by plan. We may add, change, or remove features as the Service evolves.
Your account and Google connection
- You must own, or be an authorized manager of, every Business Profile you connect. Don’t connect profiles you aren’t allowed to manage.
- Keep your login and WordPress admin credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account.
- Connecting Google is your choice and uses Google OAuth. When you approve access, you authorize us to act on your behalf only for the features described in the Privacy Policy.
- You can disconnect at any time from the plugin or from your Google Account permissions page.
- Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
Google’s terms also apply
The Service uses Google APIs. By using it, you also agree to Google’s Terms of Service and, where they apply to your use, the Google APIs Terms of Service and Google Business Profile policies. Your use of Google Business Profile is governed by Google’s terms, not ours.
ReviewRav is an independent product. It isn’t made, endorsed, or sponsored by Google. Google and Google Business Profile are trademarks of Google LLC.
Information we receive from Google APIs is handled as described in our Privacy Policy and follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Sending review requests
You decide who receives review requests and what they say. You are the sender, so you are responsible for the legality of those messages. You agree to:
- Contact only people who have dealt with your business and whom you have a lawful basis, such as consent where required, to message. Don’t use purchased or scraped lists.
- Follow the laws that apply to your messages and recipients, such as CAN-SPAM, the TCPA, CASL, the GDPR, and the UK PECR.
- Identify your business accurately and honor opt-outs straight away.
- Ask every customer the same way. Don’t screen customers by sentiment, send unhappy customers to a private form instead of Google, or otherwise “gate” who can leave a review.
- Offer no rewards, discounts, or other incentives in exchange for reviews.
- Never write, buy, trade, or post fake reviews, and don’t ask employees or relatives to review your business.
These rules match Google’s contributed content policies. Breaking them can lead to reviews being removed or listings being suspended.
We may limit sending volume, pause a campaign, or block messages that appear unlawful or abusive.
Showing reviews on your website
- Reviews are written by third parties and belong to them and to Google. We don’t endorse them.
- Show reviews as Google provides them. Don’t edit review text or ratings, invent reviews, or attribute a review to someone else.
- Keep the reviewer’s name and the Google attribution that the plugin displays.
- Don’t present a rating or review count that misstates your actual Google profile. If you choose which reviews to feature, don’t do it in a way that misleads visitors about your overall rating.
- Reviews are cached and refreshed on a schedule, so an edited or deleted review may take a little time to update on your site.
- You are responsible for your site’s own privacy notice and cookie disclosures for visitors who see reviews.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Break the law or infringe anyone’s rights.
- Send spam, or harass, threaten, or retaliate against a reviewer.
- Collect Google user data about other people, or scrape the Service.
- Bypass or exceed Google API quotas, rate limits, or technical restrictions, or use multiple accounts to do so.
- Reverse engineer our hosted Service, except where the law allows.
- Sell, sublicense, or resell access to Google data.
- Upload malware or interfere with the Service or other users.
- Misrepresent your identity or imply an affiliation with Google or with us.
Your content and data
You keep ownership of the content and data you bring to the Service, including your business information and customer contact lists (“Your Data”). You give us a limited license to host, process, and transmit Your Data only as needed to run the Service for you and as described in the Privacy Policy.
You promise that you have the rights and permissions to provide Your Data, including permission to contact the people on your lists. For personal data you upload, we act as your processor or service provider. If you need a data processing agreement, email us.
Reviews and other content from Google remain subject to Google’s terms and the rights of their authors.
Our software and brand
The plugin’s source code is licensed under the open-source license stated in the plugin files (for WordPress.org plugins this is typically GPL-2.0-or-later), and that license governs your rights to the code. These Terms govern the hosted Service, our documentation, and our brand, which remain ours. Don’t use the ReviewRav name or logo in a way that suggests we endorse you without our written permission.
If you send us feedback, we may use it without owing you anything.
Plans, billing, and refunds
- Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis at the price shown when you subscribe.
- Prices exclude taxes unless we say otherwise.
- You can cancel at any time from your account. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
- Unless the law requires otherwise or we say so at purchase, fees already paid are not refunded.
- We will give at least 30 days’ notice before a price change affects you.
- Free plans, if offered, may have limits and may be changed or ended.
Third-party services and quotas
The Service depends on services we don’t control, including Google, WordPress and your hosting provider, email and SMS carriers, and payment processors. We aren’t responsible for their availability, changes, or actions, and your use of them is subject to their terms.
Google sets API quotas and can change, limit, or end access to its APIs. If that happens, parts of the Service may slow down, show older data, or stop working. We will try to give notice and keep the Service running, but we can’t promise uninterrupted access.
Suspension and ending the Service
You can stop at any time by disconnecting Google, cancelling your plan, and uninstalling the plugin.
We may suspend or end your access if you breach these Terms, put others at risk, we are required to by law, or Google requires it or withdraws access. When practical, we will warn you first.
When access ends, we revoke our tokens and delete your data as described in the Privacy Policy. Sections that by their nature should continue, such as ownership, disclaimers, limits on liability, indemnity, and governing law, will survive.
Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We don’t promise that the Service will be error-free, that Google data will always be complete or current, or that using the Service will increase your reviews, rating, search ranking, or revenue. The Service is not legal advice. You are responsible for checking that your messages comply with the law.
Liability and indemnity
To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, even if we were told they might happen.
Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or US$100. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law, such as liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
You will defend and compensate us against third-party claims, losses, and costs (including reasonable legal fees) that arise from Your Data, your review requests, your breach of these Terms or Google’s terms, or your violation of law. We will tell you promptly about any claim and reasonably cooperate at your expense.
Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of [Rajshahi / Bangladesh], without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before filing a claim, please contact us at team@reviewrav.click and give us 30 days to try to resolve it informally. Subject to any mandatory consumer rights you have, disputes will be brought in the courts located in [Rajshahi / Bangladesh].
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms. We will post the new version with a new date and, for material changes, give at least 30 days’ notice by email or in the dashboard. If you keep using the Service after the changes take effect, you accept them. If you don’t agree, stop using the Service and cancel your plan.
General
These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about the Service. If a part is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. Our not enforcing a right is not a waiver of it. You can’t assign these Terms without our consent. We may assign them in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. We may send notices to the email address on your account.
